Need to kill a few hours?
Here's a thread that might do it:
http://allnurses.com/general-nursing-discussion/whats-your-best-108202.html
It goes on and on and on.....a thread about ghost stories in hospitals and nursing.
I know some of us love our ghost stories.
Thought I would share with you guys, but be forewarned, it can be addictive!

(37,922 posts)That one had such a surprise ending.
Been reading off and on all day--it's a good respite for gardening breaks.
I had heard about this thread but couldn't find it--and then I checked my subscriptions today and here it was. Thanks Tsiyu.

(18,186 posts)That crazy long thread has helped me this week - surprisingly - by thinking maybe the ancestors are looking out for us after all.
Spent 8 years in hospitals - mostly graveyard - and can't remember any freaky stuff like that, but then we were mostly exhausted from the patient load.
Glad you're enjoying it.

It has daily tv schedules.
I'll check it out
My mother was a nurse for about 45 years and I don't recall her ever telling any ghost stories. And I just left a job on the information desk at my local hospital and never heard any. Makes me think most nurses simply never tell anyone about these things.

(18,186 posts)I was there when many a patient was pronounced dead - babies to the elderly.
Had to extubate them and clean the benzoin off their faces before the nurses did their thing.
It was always surreal in a way, but I just remember being so exhausted, I wouldn't have noticed if Satan his own self was perched on a patient's chest.
I like the stories where the nurses say, "Okay, ghost. Cut the sh*t cuz I'm too tired for this funny business."
That would have been me.
