The Point of the Sphinx, Cybele, Egyptian New Year and the New Aeon, Aug 22-25 ~ The Egyptian Sphinx half lion / half woman represents the Leo/Virgo cusp where the Sun is Aug 22-23. The Sun enters Virgo this year on Aug 22 at 11:02 pm gmt. Dane Rudhyar calls this "the Point of the Sphinx." The Sphinx was created 13,000 years ago when the Vernal Equinox point crossed this Leo/Virgo cusp in the 26,000 year cycle of precession. Now we are at the opposite cusp when the riddle of the Sphinx is solved and the magic of the Sphinx is realized. As the Vernal Equinox point leaves Pisces, we enter the Age of Aquarius; as the Autumnal Equinox point leaves Virgo, we enter the Age of Leo on the other side. We are now entering the Aquarius/Leo Age properly speaking according to the astrologer Dane Rudhyar.
Aug 22 also begins the 5-day Egyptian New Year when the bright star Sirius rises before the Sun signaling a New Renaissance on Earth. This is an opportune time to realize our unique purpose and destiny in the emerging new world. The work we’re to do, living it through, will follow as the new creation flowers in months to come. During this time the magic of the sphinx, the harmonious balance between Spirit and Nature, yin and yang, woman and man, will be realized.
