Okay, just sumbmitted a contract for my new home
I'm totally surprised. It's a condo that I wasn't crazy about looking at it online, but I decided to look at it in person because it had nice floors and a cute patio. Turns out, my daughter and I loved it. The (original) owner was there -- a sweet woman who's going to live in a retirement home -- and she thought we were wonderful, so I think she was happy meeting us and knowing who would take over her house.
Keeping our fingers crossed that someone else doesn't offer her more money. I should know tomorrow.

We have a signed purchase contract on a different house and are in the process of getting our house ready to list. Lots of work ahead, but SO exciting! This is a long overdue change for us!

(10,170 posts)The Shadow of merc rx is already happening, so be patient and hang in there. Everything can still work; it just takes longer.
Just had that happen to me with some travel plans. Snafus everywhere with the reservations, but it ended up better in the end with a cabin on the river to ourselves with a view of some great fireworks from the back porch.
LOVE looking for new homes. In the process of remodeling my home right now. Happy for you! Enjoy!

I have no idea where the bf could be, but he's certainly not in the suburbs where I currently live!

(4,004 posts)When i saw the house this weekend, I did not like the stove and wished it was newer, but figured it was no big deal. Today, we showed up for the inspecto and the owner told me the stove died, so she's giving me money for a new one!
