My God, horrible tornado news.
We don't have tv service yet, so I was shocked to find out about the news. So sad for the people and their losses.
Astrologically tense as well/ same.

Those poor horses never had a chance.

I was in a tiny tornado once- my 100 gal horse troughs were emptied, picked up and flattened before they slammed into the side of a car port..... Terrifying, it was.

(29,414 posts)but KFOR was reporting 75-100 horses killed and more injured (no numbers on the injured or missing.) I've seen nothing reported on them since.
I'm having a hard time imagining it (maybe I'm being "prevented" from doing so.) I can only hope the animals didn't suffer much

(14,881 posts)they didn't hear the sirens there. He tried to turn as many loose as he could so they would have a chance. He said it was like in the movie Twister -- horses picked up and blown around. The barn totally collapsed.
In the horse forum I go to they saw some video. Most that survived have catastrophic injuries and will have to be put down.
And that was just at one farm with 80 horses. Apparently there were other, smaller horse farms in its path.
The thing is, they never had a chance. It probably was too big and fast for them to outrun. A weather helicopter was a mile away and reported it was getting sucked in.

(29,414 posts)I recommend you all stay away from GD. It seems to have been overrun by the despicably heartless masquerading as "Liberals".
