Please light the path home for Belladonna, my kitty
As the weather has gotten warmer, she's gone on a couple overnight walkabouts, but always returned by the following afternoon. Until now.
Thursday am, when the vet was here to give Dahli her spring shots, we were amused and amazed to find Bella curled up under Dahli! That afternoon, she was back on the catwalk rafters, her usual hangout. Thursday evening, when I fed Dahli dinner, Bella was gone.
It's been 2 nights and 2 days now, and I'm getting worried. And I miss her, as does Dahli.
She is a dilute calico with a white face, golden eyes and a fairly even mix of pale orange and grey. She knows her name and sometimes comes when called.

Thinking of you both, hoping to see an update with good news from you today.

(14,881 posts)I walked the dogs in the opposite direction to check the road on that side. I'm trying to be hopeful, but honestly don't hold a lot of hope at this point. There is a rainstorm coming tonight, so I'd hoped she'd feel it coming and get home ahead of it. Each time I check for her, I feel a clear space in my heart before I even look. It could be because we are not fully bonded, but it is the same feeling I consistently get for bonded furkids who have passed with their lives completed, ready to cross the rainbow bridge and move on to the great adventure beyond.
My other hope is maybe she got trapped in somebody's storage shed and will be found and released soon. She is a good climber and could easily escape coyotes. But we have fischer cats around here, fierce predators and there is no escape from them.

(18,928 posts)Lights on for her safe return. She probably is at someone's house. Have you checked with any neighbors?

(14,881 posts)but they tried to turn my horses loose by the side of the road, and also left a moose liver out to lure my dogs into the street. So I'm afraid of them. I did stand next to their shed and call for her, in case she got locked in there before they went away. I didn't hear anything inside.
My neighbors on one side tried to run my dogs down in my own driveway, so I'm afraid of them too.
That's another reason I'm so worried about her. If a fischer cat didn't kill her, one of the neighbors might have.
The other neighbors are normal, so I'm going to ask them if they've seen her and also the check sheds and garages, in case she slipped in when they weren't looking and got locked in.
I haven't even had a chance to get a pic of her yet (no camera) but found the archived pic from the shelter, so can use that to make posters to leave with the 2 local vets, animal control and the nearest shelters, in case somebody picks her up and turns her in.
But she's so beautiful, anybody who finds her will probably keep her...
