(14,881 posts)I had several nights in a row of intense dreams in which I was looking for my conductor, trying to reach him. I woke up wondering why am I dreaming about this? Why now?
Then I stopped by the video store to have something to do over my mid-week stormy weekend. Usually I spend an hour going through one after another looking for something decent. This time, I turned to the first row and "The Hours" was the first thing I saw. Perfect.
I watched it yesterday, during a gray, drizzly afternoon.
This morning I woke up thinking about the last lines, "We'll always have the years. The hours."
And then the massive flash of insight. Suddenly what was a personal tragedy became a Shakespearean comedy.
If I were retired, versus having to go to work today and be in the outer world, I'd be preparing to write the book that's been brewing inside me for a couple decades now. But the time is not quite yet, and I know that. I'll know when it's time.
Then I checked in here over breakfast....and here is your newsletter.
Great news! thank you Rick!

(21,046 posts)With the help of a wonderful lady in Houston. I signed a contract and this woman will do her best to help my financial future. She is truly a fiduciary in the highest sense of the word, keeping my interests in the forefront.
It will unfold later this year.
She and I are both stunned at how well this will turn out.

(2,185 posts)I thank you for your insight.
And this is so welcome, necessary.
My heart has been fractured by so much grief these past years.
I wondered if somehow, we, the human race, have missed the boat.
This past month has been contentious, and frustrating.
We all have been 'beaten up' by forces beyond our control.
But...
Thank you Rick; your words are balm and comfort.
I await further instructions......

(2 posts)I just was referred to this page and you have me hooked already. Thank you. I have a question about this Pisces meetup--while your post showed the effect on everyone, what does this mean for those who are Pisces by birth? I ask because my son is a Pisces--his birth date is March 9, so I don't know if that adds anything to this already powerful meeting.

(23,423 posts)There seems to be a pattern of Capricorns, those with a lot of Piscean/Neptunian influence, being overwhelmed by me (Wishadoo and my journey, specifically struggles, with this endeavor). They are people I'm very close to, which is a bit unsettling.
Is it that they take this endeavor on themselves, emotionally, and thus need to shut down where it's concerned in order not to feel the struggle I'm going through in trying to spread the word?
I realize it's no doubt complicated and multifaceted, but is there a simple, summary explanation you can provide?
I'm intrigued...and slightly disturbed.
Thanks.

(13,428 posts)Maybe it is a function of the company I am keeping these days or even my own shifting awareness, but it seems to me that the discussions lately have been really focused on how inter-connected we all are. I've even noticed it out in the pop culture and in the arts. When I see movies like Cloud Atlas on the big screen, or I turn on the TV and see prime time TV shows that emphasize our connections, I have to marvel. I've observed it in certain political actions (like Occupy) and I'm seeing it in the softening of hearts in every day situations--like going to the grocery store and watching as people offer to help each other out.
My world has pretty much always been one of activism and community organizing, but it seems to me that a lot more people are mobilizing now. It might be for things that I disagree with, but they are moved to act and that is a huge change from what it used to be when the word "activist" was somehow pejorative. At times, it has been easier to get people to write a check--open up the wallet--than it has been to move them to action--but now it is different. People are talking about issues and actually doing rather than being content to sit and watch.
Rick, I know things are changing in this world. It has not been an easy time for most of us for one reason or another, but for the "sensitives" (like the ASAH folks, you, and your clients) I think it has been especially painful. Yes, almost everyone has had issues of one kind or another, but the feeling of tension and the anticipation has been overwhelming at times for a lot of us. You've done a lot to help ease that for many of us, and I hope you know how much you have given us all--what a gift you have been. I know there have been times when you yourself have felt the birth pangs of this and I want to thank you for your patience and kindness during it all. Learning to trust has not been easy and you've been a huge help. Thank you!

(5,636 posts)I think this is a good time to share a message I got in the late 90s. Rick's reference to God "napping" is what made me feel I should share this.
One night in my sleep about 14 years ago I heard a phrase over and over again. Because of my orthodox Jewish early years, I now and then get messages in Hebrew, the prayer language I learned as a child. When I do, I feel certain they're from a Divine source. The phrase was B'rit T'shuva, which means Covenant of Return (or turning back to). My interpretation was that, just as G-d made a covenant with Abraham, S/He would make a new one with all of mankind to remove the barrier between G-d and us so that the Creator and the creation could return to one another.
The Source has been misrepresented by flawed and frightened human beings for millenia and that's why religions are so distorted. If each person could connect to the Source directly, this world could be healed and remade. I would like to believe that what Rick has described is the beginning of that return. What I'm putting out their in my prayers is that the veil be lifted so that we can all experience the Source directly for our own healing and that of the world.

(6,002 posts)between what amounts to the collective or selfless good, and those totally self-serving. I like to think the good guys are winning, but the reality points in the other direction, like two opposites battling and no one ever seems to win, so the battle keeps on and on and on, ad nauseum.
I have to agree with Laura/davsand, it seems like those with much empathy are feeling the brunt of all of this. What else can be done, but to let go & let God?
Thanks, Rick, your interpretations are always excellent.

fortunately, I got someone to videotape my 2 hour talk on this very subject today
once I learn to edit it, I hope to post at least a 5 minute section that describes these 2 apparently conflicting forces
we are now camped out at 20,000 feet up Everest. A PERMANENT CAMP.
We no longer have to go all the way down and risk all the way up.
Mankind is rising, we're now living at 20k

(8,423 posts)I don't know, this am I woke up in a cold sweat with a lot on my mind wondering how I was going to achieve a or b or both and it was reeling back and forth in my head like a boulder in a boxcar and then I was stunned by what seemed to be the onslaught of a warm, comforting feeling that interrupted my angst with a feeling of calm. I could swear God was telling me or letting me know that it really is going to be alright.
I know it was.
** Looking forward to your video!
