Is it getting EASIER?...then what the heck was UP this week?
Hi guys...
had a helluva rollercoaster week...wondering if it is the full moon, planets, or if I am just having a bad time.
Apparently February is supposed to be easier...right?
Having serious issues with goalsetting, accomplishments, and wondering what the hell am I doing and is it even worthwhile to try and achieve long term goals when they might not even apply once I 'get there'..old paradigm vs. new...am I heading the 'right' way?
ugh...

(12,233 posts)this last full moon was driving me and my body crazy. I was doing Yoga and meditating and feeling better. Got stuck in this week with an unconventional week, and threw out the things that were helping me physically at least.. Now, it feels as chaotic as the build up last week to the full moon. Like another full moon is coming tomorrow. Maybe it's a reminder to keep up with the things that were working and don't let little things upset the balance that was working, even though chaos is libel to show up at anytime and knock us for a loop. We need to take care of ourselves and our bodies if we want to continue on a path or journey, but also recognize that sometimes the loops or blockages are meant to let us reasses the "plan" or try to achieve the plan in a different manner.
This time around, mine has been more physical and knowing I need to take the time to make my body feel ok. So, no matter what seems more important, I need to find at least 30 mins for myself to "heal", before attacking the problems or tasks of the day. If I don't, it will take me out of the long term plan for a longer amount of time.

I had a PTSD response after 10 years free of my ex-monster, triggered by an English class of all things... ! Went crazy, literally for about a day or two...then had a physical stress 'hangover' for 2 more days, sore, dizzy, just OFF
hope this is going to calm down soon

(13,588 posts)I finished working on a sweater I'd been knitting for months and it LOOKED LIKE SHIT. UGH, I went back and looked at the first sweater I'd ever knitted and it looked better than this one! Nothing I could do to make it the way I wanted it, no matter how many fixes I tried.
I may let the dust settle and reseam it some again, but stuff just seemed like futile efforts.

(6,448 posts)this works, I hope that you don't give up. My first sweater that had lots of cables and bobbles I knit and reknit ....it took me three years to get it right! But I still have the sweater.
It is a joy just to knit, right? This is what I tell myself every time the project looks....well how shall we say ...unprofessional and not even interesting?

(13,588 posts)I may wash it and try to draw it up some, it's big besides ugly. The other sweaters I've made look much better than this one, I think that's what's disappointing.
Onto better things, I do love knitting, I've started a lace shawl, which so far looks pretty nice. I'm starting to think that I somehow do lace better than just straight knitting, God I'm weird, LOL.

(6,448 posts)"Boiled wool" was traditionally felted wool that was first knitted. That is a great fabric and great for outerwear.....
Wow, I love lace knitting, too. Good luck with the new project!

(2,939 posts)She is a very much take charge person. She already fired her first oncologist because he spoke to her husband about her treatment & not her. Her new MD is much more in sync with her. She had her first round of chemo yesterday. Today was hard, but she is beginning to bounce back. It's a long road.
