Been away awhile ... but something weird happened today ...

... well not weird, really, when one thinks in Universal terms.

I'm contracting in IT at an enormous company, a job I hate. I took it despite a disastrous interview & bad vibes all around because it pays $8/hr more than I was making. Yep, I was lured by dollar signs.

I couldn't shake the feeling of 'don't do this" when mulling the options, and cried when I gave my notice at the other one, but came here and have tried for 4 months to make the best of it.

It's been MISERABLE. No training. Nobody talks/socializes. Many glitches in the system/dead ends. I have absolutely no clue what the hell is going on and have given up asking for help or additional work to do because nobody responds to my emails.

We had a meeting this morning to finalize the migration for Thursday and less than an hour after the meeting, my supervisor IM's me & says he has an urgent ticket that we HAVE TO migrate TODAY. Which means I have to set the whole thing up, on my own, which I've not done before (urgents require different steps/approvals than regulars).

I took a quick break to run to lunch and on my walk to the car, looked toward the sky and asked the Universe to PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE.

An hour later, I got a phone call from my previous consulting gig, letting me know that they just got awarded a contract with the state (to help implement ACA) and they'd love to have me back, how much/what bene's do I need to say 'yes'? My resume needs to be reviewed by the contractee (the State Medicare/Medicaid office) so it's not a done deal, but I have hope.

I've gone from hair-pulling despair this morning, to being able to breathe this afternoon.

It amazes me how the Universe does this, just when I need it most ... and on the other hand, I know I should have more faith and not let myself get into such a depressed end-of-my-rope panic. And then on the other-other hand, I scold myself for ignoring all the signs and taking this job in the first place.

Anyway.

The job you are at now is not a good one for anyone. Every time I have been in situations like that, it turns out the company is up to no good, and they will pull out leaving those behind holding the bag who weren't insiders into what was really going on.

... And I think the problem with the current company ( giganto student loan servicer) is that a few years back they downsized and most likely lost everyone who knew anything ( knowledge = higher salary) because honest to God I can't even find anyone know knows how to send a fax & the instructions by the machine are for a different device entirely!!!

Every day has been an incredible challenge and I hope with all my heart that Spirit will reunite me with my former team at the other gig.

not the UNIVERSE (actually you're both the same thing, maybe?)

congrats to YOU for knowing, falling, and getting back up.

Your present job is a killer because you went against yourself.
You self-corrected, imho

and because of that, you will be rewarded and are to be commended! yayay

Your POWER is arriving, do not be afraid or let your stellium of Cancer planets talk you out of it.
Own your POWER, it's just starting and should be marvelous in all walks of life.
CongratS!

It's called "instant manifestation" baby!

I actually saw this happen a couple times today ...little stuff, no biggie, but still. I hope it's a sign that more is to come!

Maybe this year will be brighter for you, me, and the rest of us!
...fingers crossed that you will get what you need to make the transition!

just a little bit longer.

I hope the current situation is now more tolerable for the short term.

We should all remember to have a little more faith.

They let a few of us go from the temp job, and on the way that last day, I kept thinking about the long drive and the horrible traffic and how I was going to cope on a regular basis, and a few other negatives that didn't feel right.

But,on the job, I forgot all of that and proceeded to be myself and just tried to do everything with love, and just left it up to the universe, (thinking ahead to better opportunities, or maybe not even thinking at all specifically) and I assume the ending, (my God it just began) is a blessing for something better. Everything is happening so fast- the changes, so Godspeed for the exposure of my true calling to opportunities in fruition.

Thanks for sharing this, Myrina!

You had a learning experience at the miserable job, we all get these, without them we couldn't have tremendous gratitude when the wonderful opportunities come our way!
