How do I go about finding a group IRL?
I have just happened upon groups in the past, but since I moved to WA state I haven't even come close. I do not have a predilection, just spiritual people with positive intentions.
Any ideas?

(19,288 posts)Back in the eighties, I found an actual group, with a lady who channeled a disembodied entity. There were ten or twelve devotes. I'll never know of what Alice Elizabeth was real but she taught regular spiritual principles.
What about a book store or shop like Crones Cupboard?
Do you think a liberal church or UU type church that yields just one person who can lead you to others?

I may already know someone. Thank you for responding, I feel more positive now.

(19,288 posts)Seekers on the path. I'm interested in a church in Nampa, led by a psychic, who does circles in peoples' homes and larger groups. He's very good. I've been to a few. He's really accurate. David Akins, is his name.
But I'm an organized religion, skeptic. Still want to try one though, some Sunday.

Still Blue in PDX
(1,999 posts)It's primarily a social group, but it's a good chance to meet people.
Witchvox has a listing of groups by state, too.

(12,272 posts)It is good to just hear that there are groups out there, I guess I have been too focused away from my spiritual self, so I couldn't see them.
I am also older and not as trusting as well. Thank you for responding.

(15,888 posts)Are you familiar with Tenzing Momo in Pike Place Market? http://tenzingmomo.com/ You may be able to meet some people there. Things have changed there since my Seattle days and it is under new ownership, but I still like visiting the store now and then. Another place where you might find others is Edge Of The Circle books over on Pike Street. http://www.edgeofthecircle.com/ It's a small bookstore but it has been around since the early nineties. I would also check out the ads and messages in The Stranger. http://www.thestranger.com/ Sometimes there will be Pagan events advertised, probably in the classifieds. Let me know how things work out. I'm still in the area, but out in Kitsap county. Bright Blessings!
