(24,840 posts)I used to present pagan services at my UU Fellowship. Unitarian Universalists formally recognize paganism as a legit spiritual path. I believe UU is the only "mainstream" religion in the US that does:
The Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS) is an independent group of Unitarian Universalists (UUs) who follow the teachings of contemporary or classical Paganism.

(5,876 posts)There was a permanent tall metal pole on the playground. It had a number of chains attached to the top. Once a year they let down the chains and attached ribbons.
I remember learning a Danish folk dance in first grade for the May Day celebration in 1958.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
