Smudging ceremony

Anyone here proficient in smudging ceremonies? I've been reading up on it but I'd like some recommendations on recitations to perform during the ceremony. My family is trying to clear the old family home of some very negative spirits. We don't feel comfortable selling it until it has been cleansed. The situation has gotten quite bad since the recent death of our mother and my eldest sister can barely go into the house alone without being set upon. Any help would be appreciated. I have the proper materials now for the ceremony but we need a powerful recitation.

You want someone to tell you what words to speak for a smudging ceremony? Sometimes the most 'powerful' words are those which come from yourself, especially since you know all the details of the situation.

It would seem every site I visited regarding the smudging ceremony recommends a different recitation. But you're right -- I think it would be better if my sister created her own recitation. I just think our anger and resentments can creep their way into our best of intentions and I fear that would sabotage the whole point of the ceremony.
