This talk is about his book The Founding Myth: Why Christian Nationalism Is Un-American.
More on his book.
In todays contentious political climate, understanding religions role in American government is more important than ever. Christian nationalists assert that our nation was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and advocate an agenda based on this popular historical claim. But is this belief true? The Founding Myth answers the question once and for all. Andrew L. Seidel, a constitutional attorney at the Freedom from Religion Foundation, builds his case point by point, comparing the Ten Commandments to the Constitution and contrasting biblical doctrine with Americas founding philosophy, showing that the Bible contradicts the Declaration of Independences central tenets. Thoroughly researched, this persuasively argued and fascinating book proves that America was not built on the Bible and that Christian nationalism is, in fact, un-American.

(19,312 posts)1. It would be nice...
if there were some sort of synopsis about the subject. Watching a one hour eight minute speech is a little too much to commit to something that might not be that interesting.

(31,433 posts)2. I agree.
I did watch the video on narcissism. It was an hour and a half long, so I watched it in three sittings.
Not all of us can devote a lot of time to sitting in front of a computer.
This may be very worthwhile, despite our reluctance to commit the amount of time needed.

(8,489 posts)3. Thanks, I updated it.
Since I already know most of the religious right's bullshit assertions that "this is a christian nation" I'll skip watching, but thank you very much for providing the nuts and bolts of the speech.
