I found the man's voice intoning a religious chant over the loudspeaker while she fixed her hijab rather chilling.

But the hijab is not really a part of Islam, and so she (and all like her) need to be willing to say no to the hijab and claim their autonomy.

that said, the fact that the other team surrounded her is extremely touching.

I don't think a crucifix is part of Xianity, nor is Xmas or Sunday services.

Then again, I think a lot of people would disagree with me on at least one of those points.
