2. "The final result is a God that looks like a guy named Todd."

LOL

Reminds me of Tom Servo's Todd playing card on Mystery Science Theatre 3000 (The Beginning of the End).

3. Men and women both saw a male God. What if God were transgender?

There is no evidence to the contrary. People who believe in God only believe as far as their preconceptions go.

Has he one? Why? And what if there is no Godly penis? What then, I ask?

6. Indeed, but a penis is not required for urination.

More than half the world's population manages to pee just fine without one. And then ask yourself this: Which sex creates new life and then gives birth to it? If you believe in the "Creator," then logically it should be female. Men contribute only microscopically and very briefly in creation of new life.

Too briefly, some might say.

7. I know a penis is not required for urination

(me being, like, a woman and all) but we were pondering his penis and I didn't want to picture him using it for its other purpose. But actually, why limit it to two purposes? If God has a penis, it can see through walls, leap tall buildings, and swim the deepest ocean. Unless someone proves to me it can't.

And just imagine getting called to the front of the class at an embarrassing time. It's difficult being a guy.

the only two concessions I've ever made to male superiority is that they are better at pissing standing up and, for some reason, men are better than women at whistling.

14. I can't speak for other religions, but in Christianity, God is light. I guess that was how energy

Was depicted. The soul is likewise presented as light. Light has no sexual parts. Since Christianity should really only be concerned with soul development, it doesn't matter a particle about one's sexual identity. It's really depressing how little Christians understand about their religion.

Not trying to convert anyone. Just commenting on the low level of understanding displayed by the survey's subjects.

Anthropomorphic man-god has been the go-to standard image of God since "Created in His image" made its way into the Bible.

There is no objective Christianity. It is whatever Christians say it is. So keep bellyaching about them not knowing anything. It gives me teh lulz.

The Catholic church (the largest Christian institution in the world) still teaches that believers will be bodily, physically resurrected. Why you would need a physical body with genitals if the only thing that matters is a soul?

I do all the time. It's part of being a sane human being with a reasonably logical and healthy mind.
