Related: About this forumLegal, but... abortion access under threat in Catholic Croatia
https://www.france24.com/en/20190328-legal-but-abortion-access-under-threat-catholic-croatiaOn paper, abortion has been legal in Croatia for decades.
But in practice, it is becoming less available in the largely Catholic country where religious pressure is pushing doctors increasingly to refuse abortions on moral grounds.
...Under a 1978 law, passed when Croatia was part of the former Yugoslavia, abortion remains legal up to the 10th week of pregnancy.
But since the Balkan state won independence in 1991, the Catholic Church -- which was forced to keep a low-profile under communism -- has sought to reclaim its leading role as a moral force and guardian of national identity in Croatia.

The RCC just can't stop trying to force everyone to live according to its anti-woman, anti-human theology.

It's far easier to get a gun than an abortion in the US.

There's many areas here where abortions are unobtainable for hundreds of miles. Meanwhile we have at least one DUer who works tirelessly trying to convince everyone religion can't possibly be to blame.

Do you know anyone in Croatia?
Do you have a friend from Croatia?
What can we do about this?

Basically a number of atheists dismissing the example of China, and asking why I was posting about another country.

Primarily because this is the Religion group.
I posted about activities by a religion.
You posted about activities by the Chinese government - which oppresses people who oppose the government, whether or not they are theists. The religion of their victims matters not, it is only that they oppose the power of the state.
