Stop sniffin' around our wombs with your religion

Great little LTTE:

https://uintacountyherald.com/article/letter-stop-sniffin-around-our-wombs-with-your-religion

Supporters, doubtlessly, you’re bringing your own personal religious bottom lines to bear on this intensely private matter, HB140 “Abortion- 48-hour waiting period,” that, truthfully, is none of your beeswax! Why should we tolerate your push to inflict your positions on us? The only legitimate reason to include any outsider in our deliberations might be if they commit to taking and raising the unborn as their own.

You presume to better know or, more accurately, to simply ignore our physical, psychological, financial and social circumstances in pursuit of your own desired outcome. You pout about government meddling, but your righteous indignation seeks exactly that for women at this crossroads.

You may even be right. However, man up and accept that this decision is not yours to make.

...Quite frankly, no hypocritical Christian or over-reaching government body should be sniffin’ around our wombs.

Anti- choice will never understand that an abortion isn't our business or judgement. We must fight to keep abortions safe and legal.

Yesterday I had one tell me we didn't need Planned Parenthood, what we really needed were places people could get birth control for free. <SMH>

Both sex education and free birth control would cut the need for abortions. But the RWNJ's usually opposed both of those issues.

My own late rwnj mother opposed both!! However, she had 3 children in the first 3 yrs of marriage. Then, her doc suggested a tubal ligation which my father supported. So, she had it done but worried that gawd would take her children away for that deed.

I have heard people refer to Plan B and even ordinary daily birth control pills as "abortion pills". They've been told (by their preachers, no doubt) that's how these medications work, so they believe women who use those are having an abortion every month, or some such stupid shit. That's why the Hobby Lobby lawsuit happened, because the ignorant-ass owners of that company believe this.

If they were really so concerned about the plight of the unborn, they would be lobbying for improvements in pre-natal care in areas of the US where infant mortality rivals the 3rd world. They would be lobbying for education that actually has proven efficacy in preventing unwanted pregnancies. They would be for making birth control more widely available.

Instead they are against all of those things. Furthermore most of them have been indoctrinated to believe women deserve to suffer during childbirth and as a form of divine retribution for fornication or inherited sin.

That's when you realize it isn't about being "pro-life" at all. It's just about being void of any sense of decency.
