Actually I went to CZ republic. They were proud of the food but not so great IMO.
Beer was great, tho.

I've been to CZ republic and Poland, and the pierogis were okay, but we ended up eating repeatedly at an Indian restaurant in Krakow.

Trdelník (Czech pronunciation: [ˈtr̩dɛlɲiːk]; or rarely trdlo or trozkol) is a kind of spit cake and variant of Kürtőskalács. It is made from dough that is wrapped around a stick, cooked over coals, and topped with sugar and walnut mix.

be sure to visit the parliament building

Basrov is not too far and well worth it.

Since it is summer, the resort areas on the Black Sea (near Constanta) are a nice visit too.

Lots to see in Budapest. It's a great city, and easy to get around

What a gorgeous, gorgeous city. The architecture is stunning, and it reminded me of Paris.
Places I enjoyed:
-- the underground tour of Buda caves
-- Castle Hill and the cathedral
-- The Synagogue (largest in Europe)
-- The national museum (nice history of the austro-hungarian empire)
-- Spotting the funny and surprising little sculptures scattered around the city.

While public transportation is very good, we found it quickest and less stressful to get around by the Bolt ride sharing app. It's like Uber, and spares you from having to deal with cash or communicate with drivers who may not speak much English. Within minutes of hailing a car on the app, there'd be one pulling up at the curb!

One of the most stunning rose gardens I've ever visited. Alas, they won't be in bloom in October, but you will truly enjoy the parkland.
