We are excited as we look forward to our one-year delayed trip to Greece in May with Rick Steves (delay due to husband's bad ski accident last year)!
As novice travelers, we/I tend toward a little anxiety, though I am confident traveling with an experienced guide.
If we still have time to change our plans to a different location, I'm thinking about doing so, due to Greece's proximity to Ukraine.
I'm interested in input from experienced travelers here. And what would be another good location for us, given our interest in culture, history, nature, adventure?
TIA!

(18,633 posts)out trips. Or fly into Barcelona and do the same. Wonderful train system. I lived in Madrid a year not too long ago and as the end of my work stay approached we kicked into high gear and saw much of the country via the train system.

(25,954 posts)What about Portugal? Scotland? Switzerland/Austria? Alps are having a terribly dry wiinter, I'm reading.
We did visit France in 2018 - northwest part of the country.
Would you be hesitant to travel to Greece next year?

(36,254 posts)Vienna is very nice. Geneva seemed too business-like to me. I didnt travel around the countryside so cant speak to that. Friends recently returned from Portugal and loved it.

Please report back to us after your trip. I'd be interested to hear about Rick Steves trips. We enjoy watching his program on PBS.
