New Years in Paris question.

Does one need to stand all day on the Champs Elysees to celebrate New Years the same way someone would need to stand in Times Square to watch the ball drop in NYC?

Besides the Avenue and the Arc de Triomphe, what other activities would one do in Paris on New Years Eve?

Beautiful fireworks and views of Eiffel Tower too.

Also at plaza at Trocadéro, behind the Eiffel Tower.

Fireworks start around 11:00 p.m.

Both sites appear to have a view of the Tower and the Arch. I think I like Trocadero a bit better and it’s only about a 25 minute walk from our hotel. Thanks for this info!
