I returned from my trip to the Falklands, South Georgia, and Antarctica on Nov. 15th.

1. I've been to the Antarctic 6 times - spent more than a year of my life down there

I miss it terribly.

What was he cruise ship you were on?

We were invited over for beers on a vessel very much like that in the picture when I was at Palmer Station.

3. It was the g Expedition, run by g Advertures in Canada. It wasn't really a

cruise ship as we made two landings a day with Zodiacs.

We tried to stop at a Argentine winter base in the South Orkney Islands but there was too much sea ice to get the ship in close. We were one of the first to travel down this year.

It's near Palmer Station - spectacular views.

6. No, my trip included the Falklands and South Georgia. G Adventures turned the

ship around at Ushuaia to go farther down with an Antarctica only trip
I would love to travel farther onto the continent, but must admit, at almost 70, I found it taxing my agility and courage getting through the transfer from ship to Zodiac, landings, and returns. Thank goodness there were some strong men in the crew to help me.
