Road Trip!! Puerto Vallarta Mexico to Belize and back.

Because of screwy immigration laws in Mexico, we are required to leave the country and return in order to renew our 180 tourist cards.

So we decided to drive to Belize.

I should be a great trip. Here is my itinerary and I would be glad to give a report to anyone who might be interested in a similar trip. I have used airbnb for most of our accommodations and it has been great so far.

If anyone has any specific recommendations for things to see or eat in any of these locations, would love to have them!

Puerto Vallarta
Guanajuato
Puebla
Villahermosa
Xjipul
San Jose Succotz (Belize)
San Cristobal de las Casas
Oaxaca
Cuernavaca
Ajijic

We are going to the interior and not the coast. I suspect your dream is more coastal, cbayer Mar 2014 #5

I would have loved to have spent more time there. We hired a taxi driver to take us around, since we couldn't stay long, and didn't know where anything was; seems he knew about the Mummy Museum, and was very proud of it as an important sight to see!
