This should actually end up being a halfway decent match. Barca takes trophies seriously, so it wouldn't be all surprising to see the first team out (sans David Villa, of course). Plus, we'll get to see Neymar opposite the Greatest Footballer to Ever Step on the Pitch.

(66 posts)This WILL be a great match, at least I hope so, and wish I could see it live on a big screen in Washington DC.
I agree with Pele that Messi is great, but maybe only as part of a team of greats with an unselfish and tightly agreed upon soccer bond. He certainly doesn't match Zidane, Ronaldo, Maradona, or Ronaldinho for amazing artistry, but his shot and shielded dribble may be among the best ever.

(1,260 posts)Well, that was disappointing. I was hoping to see Neymar score but Barcelona really shut Santos down. I finally fast forwarded after goal 4 so I wouldn't miss the beginning of City and Arsenal.
On a snarky note, each time I watch Barca I hope to see Dani Alves removed. I despise him, no matter how well he plays with Messi.
