Don Fabio has resigned!

Breaking news on the Guardian website. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/feb/08/fabio-capello-resigns-manager-england

Does the FA even realize how utterly ridiculous and useless it is these days?

I can't wait for the Euros now. I must watch Tabloid Wayne's hair plugs explode out of his head as he takes one more step to becoming the fat groundskeeper in the Nike ad.

Now that Harry Redknapp's just been cleared of tax evasion charges the road's clear, but the timing is rotten. Spurs are doing well, realistically challenging for the Champions League spot, possibly even the title, and he doesn't want to upset that, surely?

Then again, England going to the Euros with a caretaker manager isn't going to be on either, is it? Maybe if they can convince someone like Hiddink, but I think he rightly loathes the English tabloid press and WAG culture.

Just thinking out loud. Interesting stuff!

Any bets for the successor? Any takers for Jose Mourinho?

I'm bullish on Maradona. He's going places.

The English would rally around Maradona in a heartbeat. Joey Barton would single-handedly burn Twitter to the ground.

Hell, they might even make him a knight.

If he turns the job down I don't know who we would end up with.

...looks like the FA wanted to be REALLY prompt this year...

They stripped Terry (without benefit of a trail), they then told Fabio to go (I don't for a second think he 'tendered' his resignation - he was told to walk back his comments or get sacked) for backing up his captain because he stupidly believed in the concept of 'innocent until proven guilty'..and now find themselves in total disarray less than six months before the beginning of the second most important football tournament in the world...

I know that 'FA' stands or "Fuck All', but really, what good are they?
