Air pistols

I'm looking at air pistols for inexpensive training (and just plain fun to shoot). Besides, Wyoming winters and outdoor ranges don't go together. I had a cheap Crossman that sometimes worked. I don't think a $30 Crossman will do the job, but I'm not ready for a Walther LP-400 either. Any suggestions?

I bought it several years ago. Accuracy isn't great, I come close enough to keep the squirrels from getting over confident. I've read that accuracy can be substantially improved by adding a steel breech and laser sights. I think both are available from Crossman. There are details in the reviews at Amazon.

The trigger is terrible. When you find a air gun, please post. Would like to have one for when the grand sons are here. Since .22 went extinct.

3. Had a Sheridan Pump when a kid. As good as a 22 at 25 yards.

I had a Daisy pistol as a kid. I used a car board box as a backstop (in the house) and a garden terrace outside. It stopped the BBs and all I had to do was police the box with a magnet and re use them.

So far, so good. What I like is that it mimics a firearms (and the Walther PPS) pretty well, down to the magazine release. Of course, it doesn't have the recoil.

Did I mention I like Walther as much as Ruger?

Lets me focus 100% on trigger discipline and sight picture; I'm well comfortable enough with big-boy handguns that I can manage (most) recoil reflexively. Finding one of these on the cheap helped my skills more than 10,000 rounds through my "real" one would ever have.
