T-89 days...

The other day Mt. Washington broke all records at 51 degrees at the summit. I've been there in September when private vehicles were banned because of weather-we rode up in their vans and had 6 inch rime ice ribbons on the antenna...The summit is something else, I've been up there when I couldn't see the steam train from 20 feet and the top wind has been measured there at 212 mph...But I've also been there and seen the Atlantic Ocean and parts of 5 states.

Cold weather is coming back but I do not despair. The 10 day forecast shows me one day at 7 degrees below at night but it breaks right back and I remember well a week when it never rose to zero...19 below for a few days...

Little Brother just ordered a new chain and set of sprockets for his. Nice to know that somewhere in the UPS/Fed-Ex/mail system harbingers of spring, just like bulbs and seed packets are percolating. I must order a new battery. When you order the parts you make a pact and the pact is to live your life and love it even when it is nearly 3 months away.

In the end,you will never regret work days or overtime missed. If you come by this forum you know the value of one day ridden well. Just for this one year, skip a days profit and ride instead. Then if you think so blame me for wasting your time.

I've spent a lot of days trail riding in my life, and while at the end of the day you're beat like a drum the day is burned into your memory like nothing else.
