It was in pieces in seven different boxes. No manual available. It took us only three hours to put in on the road.

If anything is old, wierd, or English (redundant statement),somebody in New England can make it better than new - and it's a good chance they'll be in Vermont.

my neighbour here in the UK rebuilt a 650 after stripping it down into every nut and bolt. I remember him respraying the in its original red too.

Some years before that we didn't have restrictions on engine size for learners so I had pals cruising around on fat Nortons , Vincent Black Princes and Lightenings etc.

My nephews did basically the same thing for their dad a couple years ago. Brother had bought a '56 ford f100 pickup that he wanted to restore and put it back on the road so his sons, three of them all paint and body/mechanics told him that they would paint it for him so he said ok so they took it. About three months later on his 70th birthday they surprised him with a finished updated '56 ford f100. They put a late model mustang front suspension under it, a '70s ford 400 engine, c6 transmission and 9 inch rear differential from a Continental with disk brakes, full power and air. They had it upholstered by the local upholstery man who only re upholsterer classic 250,000 dollar or more worth automobiles. Brother has so many 1 place trophies that he hardly has any more room for more. It was awesome as this story was/is. He and one of his sons took it on a trip to Georgia to visit one of my brothers ole friends this last summer, got something like 20 miles per gallon.

Both these stories brings tears to my eyes.
