Yes... After bragging online for a month... Yes, a month... The shit bag script kiddies have again brought Sony to their knees with a DDoS attack.

Yes... I want nothing more then harsh prison time for the kiddies but... Sony is not without blame here either. They were fully aware of where, when and how it was coming for a month... A fucking month. An absolute disgrace and in my view a class action lawsuit in the making. You force me to pay extra to play online... You seriously better have your shit together. They do not even have the decency to keep the community updated... Fuckers.

If you are even considering buying a PS4... Don't. Don't be the fool I was... The hardware is shit. The service is shit.

2. Sony still lying to their customers after 12+ hours...

I'm now seeing people complain about scam emails coming from 'sony'... I expect they have yet again been seriously compromised and they are still not saying shit. I would not be shocked at all if this ends up being another month of downtime... Fuck 'em. I'm trying to return this piece of shit tomorrow. See if I can get my money back from these shit heads.

3. Over 24 hours and still nothing from Sony...

I guess Xbox came back up last night sometime. Meanwhile, Sony is still giving us the mushroom treatment... They are still not sure what happened or how to fix it, so of course they have no clue when they will get it functioning again.

I'm not going to be one bit surprised if this is another month long process before they can figure out how to turn their servers back on... Then they will again offer us some shitty game that nobody wants so they can pass off funny money numbers to make it look like they did something good. Fuckers.

It annoys me how much work Sony puts into making gaming suck.

I am seeing a lot of reports coming over twitter that this supposed DDoS attack is now causing the online stores to mark games at zero cost... If the script kiddies are in that far, they also have your CC info. Sony, of course, is still trying to get the light switch turned on so they can figure out what is going on.

6. I put a lot of money into getting my ps4 set up

Paid $450 for the white ps4 that came with the game Destiny, paid $60 for an extra controller, bought a headset for $30, and another $50 for a one-year subscription to the ps store. Two weeks after dropping $590 I can't even use the damn thing.

At first I assumed they'd get the system up and running in a day. Now I'm wondering if this is going to be resolved any time soon, and if groups like the lizard squad will keep repeating the attacks. Who the fuck is the lizard squad and why are they doing this? It's affecting a lot of people.

As for the script kiddies... It's just a name. They released the data under the Anonymous name... But again, it's just some shit they are using. Nobody knows who the little turds are as of yet.

Last time this happened, PSN was down for a month. I am expecting no less this time as they are still refusing to say a word. Their spambot that maintains their twitter feed is alternating between saying they are trying to determine the problem and that they are fixing it.

8. I guess we are about half way through day 3 now...

To look at google news, one would think the problem has been fixed and yet... Pretty much nobody can get on for more then a few minutes at a time and even for the ones who do get a solid connection... None of the major multi-player games are working, you can buy crap in the store but not download it, can't activate games or codes... At best you can browse the web... I don't call this 'being up'.

Sony continues their almost complete silence on the matter... I'm a bit fuzzy on why they think this is going to be a good strategy for themselves. I mean... Yeah, people are just fucked and have to deal with it right now but people are now paying for this service, this is not some freebie they give away anymore... The game changes when that happens and they do not seem to get that concept yet.

They have also not yet addressed the stolen data... Again, they are simply ignoring it and hoping it will go away. Isn't there a law that says they have to tell their customers about data breaches? I'll have to look into that.

Sony has zero credibility anymore... In fact, less than that with me. As far as I'm concerned, they are common thieves, stealing peoples money in a scam.

9. I got on last night at 11:30 and played for several hours

But today, one of those rare days when I have the place to myself, I can't. Considering how Sony is responding to all this I can only conclude they just want our cash and don't much care if we get what we paid for. They'll get the systems up and running again, rake in a huge amount of money, and then it will happen again.

I'm so addicted to the game Destiny I'd probably buy it in the store and download it if it would somehow work. I hope they catch the turds who did this and give them a little jail time to think about what assholes they're being. Think of all the kids who got a ps4 for xmas and can't use it. It's a pointless and stupid crime.

10. Day 4 - Your Playstation is lying to you...

I've managed to figure out that my PS4 is capable of lying to me. Seems it will tell me I'm logged into PSN when I turn it on but... I'm really not. At least for now, I've found that right after booting up and going in, you need to 'log out' and then log in manually. It will fail for anywhere from 5 minutes to hours but when it says you are in from doing it manually, you really are in... Don't believe your machine

If I'm lucky, I can get 20-40 minutes play time at a clip before I get kicked off of PSN and have to start over. The lag, when I'm able to get in, is all over the place... Sometimes you are the one getting hit by it... Other times you see other players just... Stop... I kind of feel bad taking the kill when I know they are locked up because of sony but... I'm getting slaughtered so I need something to keep my stats stable.

Today is the last day of my vacation... I'm pretty annoyed I had to spend it writing about how shitty sony is with their network instead of how much fun it was playing some games.

13. Got a ps4 for xmas & never got around to setting up any kind of account.

But I still use my 360 for online stuff. Guess I'll be hanging on to my 360 a bit more longer.
