I think Torgue & Sir Hammerlock are in it. They'll probably be playable characters in the dlc (downloadable content).

I've already pre-ordered. Can't wait till it arrives October 14.

My girlfriend bought it for me (really for us!) for my birthday.

Borderlands 1 & 2 have been the best couch co-op games we have played ever. We are still going through both games with different characters at different levels.

We are planning on teaming up as a pair of Claptraps to save Elpis.

My girlfriend and I just completed the first Boss battle.

I must say that I am having a blast with the zero-G and butt slams! She's playing Nisha, and I am playing Claptrap. It is a killer combination.

Can't wait to play more tonight! We got some Golden Keys to use.

I do like having the enemies appear at long range again, like in the first game. Long range sniping opportunities were rare in BL2. I think they realized they screwed that up. Glad to see it fixed. BTW, the Cryo sniper weapons are awesome. Not hard to get crits when they are frozen!

It's also good to see decent gear in the vending machines again. I'll never understand why Gearbox nerfed the machines so bad in the last game.

Got my first Legendary drop at level 11, a Bonus Package. Saw a Cradle shield in a vendor a few levels later. I never saw any Legendary gear, aside from Torgue machines, in the vendors playing BL2.

The chests with Luneshine weapons are cool but expensive. 40 Moonstones to open one. It sucks to fight your way through an area to find a chest and be one or two stones short.

I haven't messed with the Grinder much but it looks like a decent option for upgrading gear.

edit:

POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Look over the entire area closely after killing a certain boss. The lighting in that area makes it hard to see colors so it is easy to mistake a Leg for a white text / ammo drop. Check the outside of the area over thoroughly before moving on.

I got about two-thirds through as Wilhelm. Great defensive character when you use the Wolf and Saint drones. Then started a new game as Nisha - I love the middle skill tree when you activate law & order mode. I'm doing all the side missions. I'm around a level 25 and trying to find some good ways to level up my character.

My S.O. and I are also still playing this just about every day. It is our go to couch co-op game right now.

If you haven't yet, push through the main story until the end. Then you can start True Vault Hunter mode. That is where the fun really begins. We have gotten some great rare weapons, found some Easter eggs, completed almost all the side quests, and are having fun in various locations completing the sometimes frustrating but often hilarious 'bad ass' ranks.

We are both 48 level Claptrap units - her in a pink mummy skin and I in a black commando skin! We are about 3/4 of the way through this play-through and will unlock Ultimate Vault Hunter soon as we just purchased the Holodome DLC.

We will eventually play other characters - she's interested in Nisha, and I in Jack - but for now, we are just grooving on being crazy little damned robots. Wub wub!

mode. Right now I have about 5 Nisha heads, but I want some more. I'm around level 35 but still haven't gotten to the end of normal mode. I've gotten sidetracked leveling up in the secret boss area, farming Iwajira. You both probably know what that is, but if you don't check out where to find her on youtube. It's awesome. I've got about 490 moonstones, a million bucks and a bunch of legendary orange weapons. Have fun and thanks for suggesting true vault hunter mode!

We farmed the hell out of her on our first play-through. Now she is way too powerful for us until we are at least level 52. She is level 54 and kicked our asses in about 3 minutes flat.

We did the same - used moonstone mostly to max out our ammo slots and carrying capacity. We both got the great legendary rocket launcher. I think we also got a legendary grenade mod that is killer - called Four Seasons.

We want more skins as well. This soon after release, I am not surprised at the dearth of heads & skins. With Valentines coming up, I know there will be a Moxxie DLC or at least some in game stuff like they did on Happy Mercenary Day which was super fun.

Are you familiar with the Golden Keys through Shift Codes? Probably, but if not, check out Gearbox's Twitter feed and get them there. They have given us some really awesome purple weapons, class mods, shields, grenade mods, and Oz kits. I am loving a little repeater I got from the chest. It is level 47. It has no elemental damage but it does over 2000 points of damage per hit and fires & reloads like lightning.

Oh, have you tried to get Skullsmasher yet from Nel? Do a search on Youtube. It was super hard, but totally worth it. Skullsmasher is one of the best snipers I have ever gotten. I love snipers ever since my first play-through of Borderlands 1 with Mordecai.

Have fun & happy butt-slamming!!

'cause I can't get a good wifi connection in my house. I'm going to run an ethernet cable soon though, mainly since I want to download the DLC. I''ve seen some videos of farming Nel and it looked really complicated. I'll try it though just to get the Skullmasher. I'm a loot whore, lol.

Is True Vault Hunter mode a LOT harder than normal mode? I remember TVHM in Borderlands 2 kicked my ass so hard that I never got through it. For some weird reason though, even though the story in this game isn't quite as great, I'm playing it more, and with more patience. I think part of it is that I love jumping around on the moon. Plus, since I'm more familiar with the mechanics, I really like playing as different characters and messing around with class mods, oz kits, grenades, etc.

With the proliferation of all the cool youtube videos, it's easy to just look up a walkthrough, even for side missions, and get all the cool tricks and bonuses that I missed last time. Happy butt-slamming. Ka-boooom!!

11. Shift codes are totally worth it.

Gearbox is great about giving them out 3 to 5 at a time at least once a month. Each code unlocks one golden key to use in Concordia. Each open of the chest will net you several items - like 4 purple pistols to choose from or 3 Oz kits.

TVHM can be brutal yes, but if you are in the mid 30's in levels then you will start out a wee bit ahead of the curve. We actually got to a point at about level 43 where we had to do some easy side quests and farm some areas just to go up enough to be at a matched level for the next part of the main story quest. So right now we just started at the dig site at level 48 and the area is level 48. It is tough, but it is a great fight. Playing co-op really is wonderful cause you got someone to revive you. But they make it harder since you have two players - so basically double the enemies in a particular region.

I fucking love the Oz kits and the jumping. The Veins of Helios is my favorite area cause of the incredible jumps and jump pads everywhere. My S.O. hates it but she was never a platformer like I was. You will need the jumping skills and an Acrobatic Oz kit to reach the areas necessary for Nel. We tried it on TVHM and we got our assess kicked. It was too overpowered. We had to take two other characters from a previous game in and complete it on their first play-through and then give it to myself via the locker in Concordia.

Yeah the story is not as good and I really miss Zed and Scooter, but we are playing it a lot. My youngest sister just got an Xbox 360 over Christmas and we bought her Borderlands 1 & 2 GOTY editions as gifts. So we are looking forward to some 3 player co-oppy goodness here soon starting over with Borderlands 1. I think I will play a Siren!

Have fun. Chat again later on - not going to be on DU for a week or so but I will be back.

I'm really digging it. It's a lot harder than regular mode, so I'm glad I leveled up a while before starting it. Man, I'm getting my ass kicked a lot but so far enjoying the challenge. I'm still playing as Nisha. Filled out her law & order skill tree & now getting close to filling out here right tree. Look forward to getting the final capstone that's help me kick more skag butt.

Have you played any DLC yet? I'll wait a bit till there's a price drop. I've read somewhere that the new content is crazy funny. Like, it all takes place 'in the mind of Claptrap'. That should be awesome for you, since you mentioned you & your S.O. like playing as Claptrap. I finally got my ethernet wire and clamps, to hook my ps3 up to the net. I'm doing it primarily to download the new content for BLTPS. Look forward to trying those shift codes too. I love the legendary & some of the purple oz kits & weapons. Starting to get to that point where I need to exchange them for higher level purples & blues. At least I'm getting pretty good moolah for them. It's still gonna be tough saying goodbye to my orange celestial class mod (but alas it's only a level 35).

Just finished getting Torgue hooked up for his 'Splosions!' The side mission where he has you go look at it from a distance. That cracks me up. Now I'm collecting white weapons for that 'Renegade artist' guy. When you finally finish and go back to Concordia & look at his 'Art Masterpiece' - makes me laugh my ass off.

Awesome! I am really glad you are enjoying it.

We just finished TVHM and are level 51 right now. We are working through the Holo-Dome DLC and farming a few bosses for rare and upgraded loot. The Holo-Dome is not bad. With two players, there are double the baddies so it can get ass-kicking some times. We have made it through 4 levels thus far.

I just heard about that Claptrap DLC, and I am totally stoked to get it. We got the Baroness but have not played her yet. We want to start UVHM here shortly with our Clappies and max out the game with them. One sweet advantage of Claptrap is that he doesn't need O2. So you can explore a lot more of the hidden areas with him.

I love Mr. Torgue, and his shotguns are always favorites. Low ammo, multiple explosive projectiles, and with my 'Load 'n Splode' skill, it is basically fire, explode, explosive nova, fire, explode, explosive nova! When I have Shield subroutine going with that, I am virtual indestructible.

It is a kick ass game!

Thanks for that. We can't wait to get it. Being able to max out all three skill trees is going to be sweet as well.

I am seriously considering getting an Xbox One just so I can play BD 2 & Pre-Sequel remastered!

But I probably can't afford to right now!

Inside claptrap's defective mind.

I'm same about a PS4. I'll wait till there's a price drop. That's gonna rock 'cause I never played any dlc for BL2.

Glad you pushed me to try tvhm. I finally got the hang of it. Now it's like playing a whole new game. I'm currently a level 46 Nisha. Look forward to getting her around level 50 so I can start farming Iwajira again. I'm such an orange loot whore, lol.
