Sheesh... I can't believe I've not posted this yet. I'm linking to the official site for the trailer instead of posting it directly because you have to log in and verify your age to get to it on youtube and I'm to uninterested in signing up for youtube to get the link

I'm having this strange thought that the little girl you see at the ending is going to be the 'free' DLC character (free with pre-order, not sure of the cost if you don't).
Edit: oop's, trailer is probably not safe for work.

(776 posts)I hope this one has more plot and less repetitive grinding. But I'm afraid it won't. So I'll probably buy it when it comes down in price and has all the DLC bundled.
Maybe it's because I played the original alone and not in Co-Op, but none of my friends are gamers... I still enjoyed the game and finished the main plot, but I eventually ran out of steam while grinding through the DLCs and stopped playing.
BTW the first trailer that showed up for me was the Handsome Jack one, not the Wimoweh one (which I saw in a not so distant past).
Also did you hear about all the hubbub about what one of the Gearbox people (stupidly) referred to as "girlfriend mode"? That character, I believe, is the girl shown in the final promotional still (the one with the robotic arm, not the one with the dynamite).

(21,894 posts)That has helped me find that the little girl is indeed the DLC character:
"Update: You may have noticed Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford speaking out against the "girlfriend mode" nickname on Twitter.
As reported below, the Mechromancer skill tree that helps video game newcomers is formally called Best Friends Forever. But Borderlands 2 lead designer John Hemingway referred to it numerous times as "girlfriend mode".
"Borderlands 2 does NOT have a girlfriend mode," Pitchford stated on Twitter. "Anyone that says otherwise is misinformed or trying to stir up something that isn't there.
"The future DLC Mechromancer class has a skill tree that makes it easier for less skilled coop partners (any gender!) to play and be useful.""

Interesting... I can't wait to get this

(21,894 posts)It's a heavy one, weighing in at just over an hour. Lots of good game play footage though, they do one of the 'arena' side missions. Just like in 1, three rounds that get harder and harder. They do it with two level 30 characters so you even get to see some skills in use. Good stuff.
