8. Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vages are both really awesome in my opinion.

You can play a saintly hero, a cannibalistic villain, or anything in between.

The level upgrades are excellent, so each character can feel very different from each other.

9. Gamma World and more

for a pen-and-paper RPG, GW is one of the original post-apocalpse settings. It's out in a new version.

Once upon a time I believe there was a game based on the movie Red Dawn. A more realistic game from GDW is Twilight 2000, where you're in a military unit stranded in Eastern Europe after World War III.

Here are more from a list I came across: Aftermath!, Deadlands: Hell on Earth, The Morrow Project (another oldie).
