Okay, I just bought the game (Diablo 3)

after finally get my paycheck - now I'm ready to play. I might think about starting as a Amazon, would anyone agree?

And would someone be willing to help me get equipped moderately enough to get started?

I don't know what you guys use to communicate with each other, but my hearing impairment might be a problem trying to skype or something.

I hope you enjoy the game as much as I and others here are.

The Amazon has been replaced with a Demon Hunter, which is combo of Amazon and Assassin from D2. It's a wee bit too 'techy mechy' for my tastes what with bombs and grenades and stuff but I love it anyways.

As for equipment, you will do fine on your own as you progress and find stuff. When you collect a bit of gold it's a good idea to peruse the auction for some gear - it has a very good search feature for exactly what you are looking for level wise and bonus wise.
