Texas had an excellent game on both sides of the ball but Bama was able to march down the field with seconds left to kick a field goal for the win. Which might have saved their season??
Bama did not look good offensively or defensively and has lots of penalties - very uncharacteristic of a Alabama team. I seriously doubt they will stay #1 after this performance - which might be a good thing.
I question the offensive play calling by Bill O'Brien - I think he got out coached by Sark.

(5,685 posts)Gary Danielson wasn't available to jinx Alabama talking about unbroken streaks etc. which he delights in doing.
Alabama always has trouble offensively in road games with really loud crowds. Will Anderson Jr. had four penalties called on him. That's not likely to ever happen again.

(8,333 posts)don't seem to have the speed that they have had for the last few years. I think their LB corp has had problems for years - they are just not good defending the long ball.
I am looking forward the the Oct. 8th battle with the Jimbo Fisher Aggies but unless they improve and quickly they have a problem. Hard to believe that Will Anderson had so many penalties - weird.

Personally, I'm thrilled, since they ALL rooted against my team, Bama.
Wanting or secretly hoping someone loses is a mighty powerful silent force huh.
