KC Chiefs moving to the state of KS? There are developers trying to get them to move to KS. Where I do not no-and yes I purposely misspelled it-know.

1. it is all about money

I am sure they go where they can soak the tax payers to the max.

3. If they do make that move, all those who think Kansas City is in Kansas will be vindicated.

Okay, I know there is a Kansas City, Kansas, but that is NEVER the Kansas City people are thinking about.

I used to live in Overland Park, the second largest city in Kansas, which most people have never heard of. And I NEVER tell people I'm from Kansas City. I have always, both when I lived there and now, say I'm from Overland Park, and if they look confused, will go on to say it's a suburb of Kansas City, Missouri.

4. I blame

the national media for that. They always make it sound like it is a suburb of KCMO. Of course you and I know it is not.

And if you live in that area, you are very cognizant of the differences between the two states.

When we were getting ready to move there (from Colorado), I rather assumed we'd move to Kansas City, which I knew perfectly well was in Missouri. My husband said, "Oh, no, they have lousy schools there, we are moving to Kansas." And when we first connected to a realtor, we let her know that good schools were a primary concern, and we only looked at schools in the Shawnee Mission school district. This was in 1990.
