Related: About this forumAnyone else notice the many NFL players going on and off the covid list, and how...
it's downplayed and become accept even, no big deal?
But what about those players' direct contacts with others...their families, coaches, team-office personnel, the public?
It's all being ignored but IMO the virus is being quietly spread this way too.

(14,681 posts)that. I thought at the beginning of the season they were told they would face big fines (the team owner and the player) if they got Covid. Also thought the team would forfeit the game. Guess I must have totally misunderstood. I know that one quarterback was fined a couple of weeks ago because he misled everyone about his vax status-think it was Green Bay? I believe he was supposed to go up against Mahomes.

(4,640 posts)And teams only forfeit games if enough players catch covid at the same time that affects the game to a point the NFL would have to step in and postpone the game, as had done several times last year.
Per OvertheCap.com, 22 players on 14 teams(max 3 players/team) are on the Reserve/COVID-19 list (however they don't update regularly and that list is likely several weeks old), as such, it isn't as widespread as it seems. It's only seems so because a few big names have been there over the past couple of weeks.
refreshing my memory.

(29,797 posts)That was very telling. NFL knows players arent vaxed. However, stadiums remain packed. $$$$$

(14,320 posts)or nearly disappeared--and it especially disappeared after his former chef said that AB got his faked vax card from another player. The NFL knows it has an issue here, but they have too much invested in 1) the idea that they're good citizens and behave responsibly re: the pandemic and 2) optimizing profits.
