Brady and his new team have inevitably been thrust into the spotlight immediately, having been lined up for five prime-time games during the 17-week regular season.
Five nationally televised games in one season is a franchise record for the Buccaneers, one more than the team had in 2003 after it won the Super Bowl.
The Bucs' first prime-time appearance comes in week five against the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
The team then have a one week break before returning to prime-time for three consecutive weeks, the first coming against the Las Vegas Raiders at the newly built Allegiant Stadium.

According to Associated Press, television networks and NFL schedule makers have been "scrambling" to rework their schedules in order to give Brady and his new team more visibility.
I cant think of a single player move ever that adjusted requests and turned the process upside down as much as this, said Fox Sports senior vice president Michael Mulvihill about Brady signing with Tampa Bay. I think the league treated everyone well with Tampa Bay because they knew how great everyones interest was. It was a significant curveball.

According to the links, Tampa Bay had already been assigned two primetime games.
Does Brady's signing automatically guarantee the Bucs play competitive games, worth watching in prime time? I guess we'll find out.
I don't care if Brady plays or not. I want to watch good games.

(5,768 posts)New England knows this and that's why they didn't make a competitive offer to retain his services. Brady was only slightly above average last year with a very good team. This year, behind a very mediocre team, his performance level will likely be far below average, possibly bordering on bad.

(12,132 posts)His first throw of the game I think lol. Very early in the game anyway. I don't remember - I was there in the fancy seats as a guest of a sales rep and beer was on them.
I had a good time but I'm not much of a Bucs fan so it didn't hurt me as much as it did my friend who I was with. He's been a Bucs fan since he could walk.
