I hate first games of college football

like with Furman and #2 Clemson reminds us of how the top-tier of teams stays at the top.

It actually DOES look like Patriots vs. pee wees.


Hold on for the middle and late games, though. Washington/Auburn, ND/Michigan, a sleeper Boise State/Troy - big boy football!

And two consequential games Sunday and Monday!

3. Texas and Maryland is competitive

4. Me too. Cupcake games. I can't imagine why a school

would willingly put their team up against a Powerhouse like Alabama for instance just to get humiliated.

5. Bobby Bowden did it all the time in the early years

He'd play anybody anywhere any time and word got around that his players got to see some action and it eventually led to great recruiting and years of tremendous achievement.

Hoping we can get back to that with the new guy lol.
