And as long as Kraft's checkbook holds out, not much will change.

It felt like the skid were being greased for them the whole damn game.

I kind of figured it would go this way from the end of the first half, when it looked as though the refs were trying to make sure the Pats got a touchdown to keep it close.

The game did have a lot of great moments in spite of that, though.

I understand people hate the patriots. But that was just a great game with two very evenly matched teams, and the game was in doubt right up to the last 1.28.

perhaps you had observational bias?

They were wrong to rule the play dead when the guy had possession, and was clearly not down. He was denied a certain touchdown for no valid reason.

Would've made it 27-10.

I understand it was a tough call but the refs were celebrating with the Pats on the TD at the end of the first half.

That there was no way in hell the league was going to let the Jags go into the locker room with an eleven point lead.

Calling the play dead where the guy from the Jags had stripped the ball and was obviously not down(he'd have had a certain touchdown) in the fourth quarter stuck out to me as well.

That said, whenever I find a Pats game, I have the feeling it is just a replay of the last one I watched.

As to holding penalties, for example-why do they even still call those? Any NFL lineman will tell you that every offensive team holds on every play. It's not like it leads to injuries and no quarterback would ever complete a pass if it wasn't for all the holds linemen get away with.
