(18,617 posts)Micah Parsons also tore an ACL (apparently, pending MRI confirmation), and with the Packers well positioned (but not clinched) in the playoffs that one may be a bigger deal for everyone but KC fans.

believe all the injuries the Chiefs team have had this season. They get one or two players back, then another one or two get injured. Been that way all season long. Very frustrating to say the least. When they lost their first game of the season in Brazil, I believe it was to the Chargers, I had a feeling that was the way the season was going to go.
Mahomes injured his knee last week during their game and I wonder now if there was a tiny tear then, if thats even possible with ACL injury. Hope hes able to come back and play eventually.

(1,053 posts)The Chargers lost their starting left and right tackles early for the season resulting in a variety of players having to fill their positions. The Chargers' offensive line is weak but it's their defense that's kept them in the game and winning.
Chiefs. Weak offensive line, but better defense. Still didnt help us win games though.

(75,654 posts)The ESPN report I saw says that Mahomes' injury is only a torn ACL. (Not sure "only" is the right word.)
But, there are surgical repair options that might allow him to come back in late September next year.
Haven't heard further details on Parsons, other than it's definitely a torn ACL.

(75,654 posts)Maybe the even longer limbs create more torque and when the knee goes, more than just the ACL gets damaged?
Maybe the surface they play on?
Maybe the shoes? More friction with a basketball shoe?
It's a great question, but I can only guess.
