I love watching this team but it just wasn't their year.

(27,391 posts)The O-line was a big problem for them versus the Chargers' pass rush. And having the refs on the opposing side didn't help them any.
has been a problem all year. Kelce has done some better. Also I cannot get over all the injuries on the team this year and couple that with the penalties galore this year 🤦♀️😱🤬🤬🤬

(25,565 posts)The Chiefs have had their fair share of great seasons.
Time for Kelce to retire.

(25,565 posts)Gardner Minshew is Mahomes' backup.
Mahomes has been very durable over his years in the league.

(112,563 posts)I will bet that Kelsey will retire and go on to his business investments, podcasts, and of course, his future with Swift.
I hope Mahome's knee is okay. I watched when he went down, and that lateral movement sure looked like damage to the lateral collateral ligament at a minimum. So, I am betting surgery is in his future. Maybe their elimination is for the best this end-of-season.

(35,085 posts)When he was getting up and I saw his movement I just shuddered. He is messed up for a long while.

(14,117 posts)They are exciting to watch but dynasties never last forever in the NFL, and thats a good thing.
Hope Mahomes is okay. He is one of the greats.

(112,563 posts)Tough injury for a QB that likes to run. But, he'll have the best of the best surgeons available to him and should recover fine with a lot of PT work afterward. The worst part is that some who suffer this injury are pretty "gun-shy" afterwards, of it happening again, and "self-protect", making them far less aggressive/effective on the field.

(1,049 posts)I'm a Charger fan and seeing Mahomes have a major injury isn't anything to be happy about. I'd rather see the Chargers lose than for any opposing player to suffer a serious injury.
Before this game, I was glad to see KC was not going to make the playoffs. They've dominated the AFC for a long while and now it's another team's time.

(21 posts)Must've determined it wasn't profitable enough to rig the playoffs for KC this year like the last few.
I hate the "chefs".
I've always thought Mahomes was a system qb. Put him on another team and see him flail.
