Packers' Finley, Ravens' Flacco take issue with Tebow coverage

Is a Tim Tebow backlash brewing?

In some ways, it's already overdue. The Broncos quarterback has been a massive subplot of the 2011 NFL season, outshining even a run at football immortality by the 13-0 Packers.

Perhaps that's why Jermichael Finley is speaking out. The Green Bay tight end has had more than his fill of Tebowmania, calling it "disturbing."

“I sit at home, start watching TV and all I’m seeing is Tebow,” Finley told the the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. “That’s kind of disturbing. We have a guy here (Aaron Rodgers) that’s breaking records every week and you have a guy in Tebow that’s saying ‘God’ every word and he gets coverage. Of course, I love my faith and God, but come on man.”

***Although I like the Packers being overshadowed a little bit (yeah, I'm superstitious that way) this is getting out of hand with MVP talk and all that nonsense. For the first time ever I'll be backing the Pats... But I'll deny it at a later date.

Just another really good 13-1 football team.

If I were a teammate of Finley's, I'd be blaming him for making God mad.

I keed! I keed!

On that TV network supposedly dedicated to furthering the sport, the Packers have received very little attention. Nor have the 49ers. All we seem to see all year are stories about the Cowboys, Eagles, Jets, and, most recently, a non-stop Tebow festival.

Vengeful God! Especially with Flacco. He was getting fucked up out there. Great stuff. Made my night.
