Jameis Winston and the Browns won a game against Baltimore ...

a HUGE upset.

What's more, Winston had a better day at QB than Lamar Jackson., throwing for 334 yards and 3 TDs with no interceptions -- a rating of 115.3.

If Deshaun Watson ever starts another game for Cleveland -- other than because of an injury -- there should be a fan riot.

Wow!

that most of the NFL seemed to have written off Winston. When the Browns went for Watson whole hog like they did I thought it was a mistake to go that route.

his sexpest QB is that the massive salary cap pain is yet to come, since they pushed as much forward as possible each of the first three years. They tried to create a window, and missed it badly. The Browns are going to suck ass the next few years with the veteran talent they will be forced to jettison or not acquire in the first place.

That might change after today’s win, though it makes sense to call 2024 a wash and start the rebuilding now. Will it happen? Haslam would have to okay it. Apparently he has the final say on a lot, according to friends in Cleveland.

is when Deshaun left last week's game injured, Dorian Thompson-Robinson got the nod as the backup. Then he got injured and Jameis came in and threw a TD pass.

I guess he cemented the job this week, but he must have fallen out of favor with the coaching staff for a bit, otherwise he would have been #2 last week.

He's had a lot: 99 in 99 games played. But give him this: he showed a lot of poise in the winning drive I saw and didn't make any mistakes.

Most of the INTs came with Tampa Bay. He's thrown 11 since 2000, all with New Orleans. None so far with Cleveland in 2024.

Yeah, he's earned the job. Got to wish him well.
