The Left for Dead Bowl

Saturday the last remaining PAC-12 teams, Oregon State and Washington State will play each other.
The winner will be in line to make the conference championship game.

I’ll be pulling for the WSU Cougars.

The idea of the 'student athlete' is a quaint memory.

At this point, all twelve teams are still in the conference for the remainder of the season. And it’s unlikely either of OSU or WSU makes the conference championship.

And, yes, it’s a damn shame what happened to the conference. I blame SC and UCLA, plus an inept commissioner; after the two L.A. schools jumped ship, everything else was just the landslide playing itself out. I’m hoping the Pac-2 manage to pull off a merger with the Mountain West that will allow the whole thing to retain the Pac-12 name, but it will be hard to argue that it would be a “major” conference even so.

It's been brought up before. The last time they expanded, there were schools rumored to be wanting to join but no one thought they could meet minimum academic standards.

38-35 over Oregon State. Best game of the day.

WSU in first place in the PAC-12 North.
