... that's rooting for the Buckeyes to beat Michigan, prior to game-time, to give them an extra psychological advantage against the Wolverines?
I'm not sure it's necessary, but it worked for both Iowa and Purdue when they upset the Buckeyes in 2017 and 2018, respectively.

I mean, what opposing team is going to be hyped about demoralizing a young cancer patient? Well, maybe Harbaugh and the Wolverines... not sure.

(15,042 posts)I posted this thread in the Football forum, though.
I'm currently a cancer patient being treated at The James Hospital of Ohio State, but not young, and I'm hoping for a Buckeyes victory.
Named after JFK, since today's my birthday. (My parents were planning to give me a name that probably would've been mocked in school, but the anniversary of JFK's assassination was all over the news back then.) Don't have to report to work today, which is a wonderful birthday gift!
"The Game" isn't actually all that important, in the grand scheme of things, of course. I was trying to be light-hearted about it.

There's young cancer patients cheering for all kinds of sports programs around the country.
I think they're mostly used to deflate the opposing team, and it's in poor taste.
I'd be disappointed if Ohio State did such a thing, to be honest.
