Rest in Grace, Elleng

Photo - Douglas Liu

When despair for the world grows in me...

I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
- Wendell Berry

I had more chats with her than anyone else here. She told me how she had been a lawyer, and about her father, who had a law practice in New York City many years ago, and I shared with her how I'd spent over 50 years working as a paralegal at a large New York law firm. She took beautiful photos and always had interesting recipes. Just an overall good soul.

Ty for sharing with us

I will forever cherish memories of EllenG's posts of her Osprey nest & the young birds' development.

And now EllenG soars with the Osprey.

She was just here…and now she’s gone. I will miss her wisdom. An important part of our family here, missed by most, I suspect.

I've just checked and there are still no details added to that post.

For passing along such inspiring photos and a beautifully appropriate poem, to go with news that saddens us all. I remember her being so excited at the sight of an Osprey.
Go gentle, elleng.
