927 5TH AVENUE RED-TAILED HAWKS
Octavia made a trip to the 927 Fifth Avenue nest late this afternoon. She brought a branch with her and did some arranging. Other bird watchers have seen her with another hawk on the nest. I suspect that shes just going through the motions and wont be nesting this year. I would love to be wrong, but I think shes done with raising anymore hawks.

(13,398 posts)3. I spent 20 years looking at Pale Male on the ledge of that building.
Mary Tyler Moore lived there and she spent a couple of visits with us on the "Hawk Bench."
Lots and lots of good memories at the boat pond.
