A Tri-Perfecta for Oakland

In the Coliseum that the A's owner is desperate to abandon for Las Vegas, THREE perfect games.

• Catfish Hunter. Attendance: 6,298

• Domingo Germán 12,479

Here are the attendances for the 22 perfect games with attendance figures:

A's coming in a bit low.
The A's have had great teams UNDER PREVIOUS OWNERS who actually spent money on player salaries.
Catfish deserved better. May 8, 1968. Dunno what caused such low attendance.

Seven have been inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame: Cy Young, Addie Joss, Jim Bunning, Sandy Koufax, Catfish Hunter, Randy Johnson, and Roy Halladay.

due to the historic out-to-lunch-with-no-clue-to-marketing of baseball's top management over the decades.

3. Hunter's game was a Wednesday night. In those days attendance was turnstile count.

Today it’s tickets sold, including season tickets, whether they are used or not. It was the As first season in Oakland. They were mediocre, and very young. And night games in the Bay area tend to be cold in the spring. That may account for the low attendance.
