how it's some veterans having one of their better years and rookies that are coming on strong and how they are all working together on the field and the clubhouse.

I believe I could hear Carl Yastrzemski's hooting and hollering from California when his grandson, Mike, splashed one into McCovey cove for that 10th inning three run walk-off homer.

The Giants getting hot just before the All-Star break is a good thing, and Gabe Kapler is thinking, "I love it when a plan comes together".

7. My husband and son are BIG Giants fans, I am just a casual one.

They watch the games and follow them closely. I root for them to be winners, but don't really like watching baseball unless it's in person or the playoffs and Giants are in it. That being said,

Go Giants!

Pitchers Cobb, Stripling, Brebbia, Alexander are injured ... plus two big bats that were creating a lot of mayhem: Mitch Haniger and Wilmer Flores.

So far we've been relying on the AAA bench to fill in, and it's been working well. The same thing happened during some of the World Series years when Bruce Bochy had to biuld a team two or three times during the season.

11. A ninth inning walk-off walk, Baby

Joc Pederson's walk in the bottom of the ninth wasn't as glamorous as Mike Yastrzemski walk off homer, but a win is a win.

13. Um, the Reds are sitting pretty with a 10-0 streak

However the second place Giants have a higher winning percentage (.562) than the first place Reds (.527)

I heard someone say the Giants have been playing over .700 for the last month, or so, but I have no clue how to search that stat.

Longest was the 13 games the Rays began the season with.

16. I'm a Giants fan and I love the way they're playing, but the bullpen games concern me.

But Gabe Kapler has kicked butt with this team so far.

And an even better note about the way the season has gone is how it started with both Judge and Correia turning them down and how everyone felt. I think with the way the rookies (and the rest of the team) has performed few are thinking about what could have been. I'm sure not.
