Baseball
Related: About this forumI hate the Yankees,
but I might be in New York and have the opportunity to see a game live. If given the opportunity, I would, just because I'm a fan of the game. I will not be wearing my Marlins colors, but I wont pick up a Yankee cap either.
If given the chance would you go to a game in a historic setting just because you are a fan of the game?

(19,089 posts)As a New Jersey born child in the NYC area, we lived in a wonderful world of sports heroes, and the Yankees rarely disappointed ...
Hate all you want; we'll be here to cheer them on ...

(39,358 posts)my father in law is a Yankee fan, so I picked up a Red Sox hat when I was there last October.
How are the seats in right field? it looks like those are the best bets for the days that we'll be there.

(42,770 posts)breathe the history made there. Just like Fenway or Wrigley. And pricing the average people out the market is a sin too. Same with TV - unless you have cable.

(42,768 posts)Well as visited: Dodger Stadium, Busch Stadium, Fenway Park, the stadium of the Anaheim Angels, Oakland Colosseum and the Stadium where the Toronto Blue Jays play. I used to go to Candle Stick Park as well as the new Stadium at AT&T Park. I have been to the bleachers at Cooperstown, NY at the Baseball Hall of Fame. If you love baseball, and you have the opportunity to go, you will, even if its a team you hate, because after all it is Major League BASEBALL.
Note: I always wanted to visit the EPICENTER ..home of the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes!

As objectionable as they are 'on the road', it's even worse at Yankee Stadium where EVERYBODY is on the payroll, even the umpires.
A big national salute to the power of money over skill.
