Max Muncy's wife planned birth around Dodgers/Giants series

“My wife actually planned that one out. We’re gonna induce” Muncy told Susan Slusser of The San Francisco Chronicle on Thursday. “She didn’t want me to miss any games against the Giants.”

Muncy went straight to paternity leave following the July 22 game against the Giants. He'll be back on the 27th when L.A. comes to San Francisco for a three game series.

The Giants Dodgers series is gonna be great. Redemption is writ large, and it may be a turning point it the spectacular National League (West) race.

But Wilmer Flores doing great at 3rd, and Estrada's performance at shortstop is a wonderful surprise. Kuiper and Krukow were laughing after Estrada's home run, "We may just get him to break a smile, yet". Estrada's head is totally in the game.
