But not optimistic.
We are still under 500 with spotty hitting and a depleted starting pitching staff.
Our biggest positive is the back end of the bull pen - and they were strong vs the Giants, but remember they just had a week off.
The fatigue was taking a toll on them before the AS break, and probably will again since we can't rely on the starters to get through 6 innings on a regular basis.
Unless our big money players start hitting more in line with their career averages we are just not good enough now to make the run needed to catch Milwaukee.
I advise taking up brown liquor because Budweiser is just not strong enough to help us through this season

Bullpen made the pitches, but Molina called them. Out-thought Giants' hitters, especially the young guys. Kept the relievers focused. He is one heck of a catcher.
